Safari Books Ltd. was registered in 1991 to serve the libraries with books and journals, in addition to offering publishing services, consultancy and special publishing. The first major breakthrough was the World Bank Book and Journals contract which we handled together with Blackwell of Oxford supplying the 23 Federal Universities over a period of 2 years. Today we are one of the major library suppliers representing Swets Information Services Lisse The Netherlands, who are the largest academic journal suppliers in the world.

We are representing Mallory International, supplying books which are published overseas. Our special publishing programme is expanding. It started with "For their Tomorrow We gave our Today", followed by our most recent publications "Nigerian Core Values", Judicial Path, Corporate Governance in Modern Nigeria, Migration, Traditional Rulers in Nigeria, Slave Trade in Nigeria, War against Counterfeit Medicine, Professor Dora Akunyili. We continue to build on our past reputation. The company's Chairman is Chief Joop Berkhout OON who has almost five decades experience of which over four are in Nigeria. His son George Berkhout joined the company three years ago to assure continuity in the years ahead.

Safari Books Ltd. is well known for the quality of their work employing a crop of well experienced and excellent editors in humanities and science. We offer high quality design and printing. A new area of development is the printing services we are offering with our partners in Dubai UAE. Printing books, weekly magazines and color magazines. The Board of Directors are Chief Joop Berkhout OON - Chairman, George Berkhout - Executive Director, Professor Ayo Banjo – Vice-Chairman - Non-Executive Directors and  Adesina Olufemi Adegunle (FCTI), Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai OFR.

What we offer: We offer book wholesale, library supply; printing, editing and publishing services. We provide consolidating services and procurement.
